IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY CARE

Seek immediate care if your pet is experiencing any of the following symptoms:

Refusal to drink for 24 hours or more

Choking, difficulty breathing or nonstop coughing and gagging
Obvious signs of pain or extreme anxiety
Bleeding from the nose, mouth, rectum, coughing up blood, or blood in urine
You suspect or know your pet has eaten something poisonous (such as antifreeze, xylitol, chocolate, rodent poison, etc.)
Seizures and/or staggering
Severe bleeding or bleeding that doesn’t stop within 5 minutes
Inability to urinate or pass feces (stool), or obvious pain associated with urinating or passing stool
Injuries to your pet’s eye(s)
Heat stress or heatstroke
Fractured bones, severe lameness or inability to move leg(s)
Severe vomiting or diarrhea for more than 2 episodes in a 24-hour period

If we feel we cannot give your pet the necessary care, we will refer you to an appropriate specialist.
