Veterinarian and Practice Owner

Dr. Barrow, a Marshfield resident since 1991, holds a B.A. with honors in mathematics from Tufts University (’86) and graduated in the top 10% of his class from Tufts University’s veterinary school (’91). With a career spanning over three decades, he has excelled in diverse roles, including at Kingston Animal Hospital and Roberts Animal Hospital. Specializing in internal medicine, oncology, and soft tissue surgery, he’s adept at treating small mammals too. A dedicated member of AVMA and MVMA, Dr. Barrow prioritizes yearly continuing education. At home, he enjoys family life with his wife, son, daughter, and their pets.

Veterinarian

Dr. Ravanesi graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor’s in Biology and Psychology. She received her veterinary degree in 1993 from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced at hospitals in Winchester, Ashland, and Hingham before coming to Marshfield Animal Hospital. Her interests lie in geriatric medicine and surgery. She loves getting to know her clients and their pets and keeps them healthy with compassionate care and understanding. When she’s not at MAH, she enjoys gardening, photography, and yoga. She has 2 Tibetan “terrors” named “Duffy” and “Rosie” and 4 rescued cats: “Manny”, “Riley”, “Louie”, and “Ella.”

Dr. Powers received his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire. He then completed veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada, graduating in 2015. Following that, he completed a rotating medicine and surgical internship at VCA South Shore. He has special interests in dentistry and pain management. Dr. Powers originally grew up in Harpswell, Maine, harvesting seaweed and working at a marina during the summers. He and his wife currently live in Scituate with their Vizla “Cisco“ and cat “Flurry“. Dr. Powers enjoys most outdoor activities, especially hiking, boating, golfing, and skiing.

Veterinarian

Marshfield Animal Hospital welcomes Dr. Ruth Fundyga, whose passion for animals began as a high school veterinary assistant and National Zoo volunteer. With degrees in zoology and population genetics, she fulfilled her dream at the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests span preventive care, dermatology, internal medicine, palliative care, and feline behavior. Dr. Fundyga is a member of AVMA and AAFP. At home in Plymouth, MA, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and reading with her husband and two cats.

Originally from Braintree, Dr. Manolakis developed a passion for veterinary medicine while volunteering at an animal shelter during his undergraduate studies. Graduating from UMass Boston and Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, he gained diverse experience in general practice, specialty hospitals, and exotic/wildlife settings. Dr. Manolakis prioritizes fostering trusted relationships with families and their pets. His clinical focus areas include dermatology, ophthalmology, and surgery. Outside work, he cherishes time with his wife, their rescue tripod Sadie, and their rabbit, Bun.

Raised on a Rhode Island farm, Dr. Katherine Bodell’s affinity for animals blossomed early. She earned a Biology degree from Wheaton College and pursued veterinary studies at Tufts University. Specializing in dermatology, dentistry, and geriatric care, she finds joy in hiking, beach outings, and skiing. Dr. Bodell resides in Plymouth with her fiancé and their cat, Nelly.
